Professional Mixers

Knead, beat, whip and mix foods with a general purpose commercial mixer. These units simplify the preparation of large quantities of food on a daily basis. Industrial stand mixers are perfect for bakeries, restaurants, cafeterias, and other foodservice establishments. Because they make food preparation tasks such as whipping eggs, kneading dough, mixing batters, and making icing easier, industrial mixers are a must-have addition in every commercial kitchen. If you are looking for the right commercial food mixer to bring value and reliability to your establishment, you have come to the right place.

Professional mixers are available in a wide variety of styles and product options. We have all-purpose planetary mixers that are particularly great for whipping cream, stirring batters, and blending ingredients. Spiral mixers will take care of tough, dense doughs because they are more powerful operators. Countertop mixer models are common with low-volume establishments, while our commercial stand mixers that complete tasks faster are popular with busier establishments. Floor models are best suited for heavy-duty applications.

Using a commercial stand mixer helps free up staff time because preparation tasks can be accomplished much faster. Whether you are looking for a versatile unit to make dough and batter in-house, or a durable operator that will bring long-term value to your food prep routines - we have the right machine for your needs. Whip eggs, knead dough, make icing, mix batters, and accomplish specific tasks more conveniently to keep the ball rolling in your bakery, restaurant, or pizzeria.

Commercial Mixers Product Options

Professional stand mixers are a valuable investment to simplify food prep tasks in your establishment, from mixing cake batter to whipping up batches of cream or making pizza dough. These units come in a wide variety of product options. Countertop light-duty models are great for low-volume use in small establishments. Floor models are popular with high-volume kitchens, as well as stand mixers that have heavy-duty capabilities. Choosing the perfect mixer for your establishment all narrows down to the product type, usage, transmission type, speed, and unit horsepower. Finding the right capacity is also important so you can meet the volume needs in your foodservice outlet. Larger models that have more horsepower tend to handle thicker and heavier doughs, while units with multiple speed settings bring added flexibility to your food preparation routines.

Types of restaurant mixers

  • ☐ Countertop mixers - these are compact units that rest on your counter or table tops. Countertop commercial mixers are meant for light use in low-volume establishments.

  • ☐ Stand mixers - these models are suited for equipment stands and tend to have a bigger capacity compared to tabletop mixers.

  • ☐ Floor mixers - floor mixers are typically high-capacity units that are ideal for the needs of a high-volume foodservice establishment.

Standard duty vs heavy duty mixers

Standard duty mixers are low capacity units meant to support businesses that output smaller batches of food on a daily basis. On the other hand, heavy-duty mixers are high-power, versatile performers meant for establishments that churn out large volumes of food daily.

Mixers by transmission type

  • ☐ Gear-driven mixers - these are mixers that use internal gears and cogs to accomplish food prep tasks. Many gear-driven units are durable operators.

  • ☐ Direct driven mixers - these units are operated by gears that can be changed by the user (usually by operating a button on the unit).

  • ☐ Belt-driven mixers - belt-driven mixers are low-cost units that rely on a belt to move the agitator.

Common questions about restaurant mixers

A. Which commercial food mixer is the best?

Before you buy a commercial restaurant mixer, it’s important you ask three important questions:

  1. 1. What will you be mixing?

Standard duty mixers are typically meant for light use in low-volume establishments. To take care of tougher food prep jobs, such as kneading a batch of thick and stiff dough, you need a powerful heavy-duty model.

  2. 2. How do you expect to use the unit?

If you are looking for a reliable unit that can whip cream, eggs, and batter on the occasion, then a standard duty or light duty model will suffice. However, kitchens that have extensive food prep work require a more durable construction.

  3. 3. What capacity do you need?

Mixers come in a wide range of capacities. At Kitchenall, we have machines ranging from 20 qt all the way to 80 qt. Choose the right capacity based on how much mixing you need to accomplish on a daily basis.

If you are still not sure what model works best for you, Kitchenall commercial foodservice representatives can help you make an informed choice. Dial 917-525-2066 to request assistance.

B. How to clean a commercial mixer?

Detach the stand mixer before you commence cleaning work. Fill a sink with warm water and a few tablespoonfuls of dishwashing detergent. Put the beaters of the machine into the sink and use a sponge to scrub and get rid of the food residue.
