Avoid the USF33D

After owning the USF33D wine cooler for about 3 months, it began making a loud sound when running, which was really unacceptable in a house. The sound was intermittent but repeated every half hour to hour and would last for about 3-4 minutes. I figured it was a phase of compressor operation. Then, after about 2 years of putting up with that, the "drawer" immediately above the temperature read-out and controls began sticking. I would have to tug it to get it to slide out. Inspection revealed that the problem was an ice build-up on the back wall and it was freezing the shelf/drawer in place. So I unplugged it to let it thaw overnight, and in the morning I had a puddle of water on my hardwood floor. The cooler is now in the garage until I take it to the dump. $650 down the drain.
