Great freezer features
Pros:
-Size: This pro is obvious. The freezer is HUGE. You can fit so much in here while maintaining adequate airflow between items. The product listing mistakenly states that it holds 22 cu ft, it's actually larger than that. The specs sheet for this unit says that it holds 26.5 cu ft. which definitely seems more correct. Comes with two racks to help keep stored items organized.
- 2-door: Rather than having one big door, having two doors uses less energy to keep the freezer cold since opening only half of the top releases less refrigerated air.
- Drainage: There is a little plug at the bottom of the freezer to facilitate drainage of thawed frost build-up during cleaning and maintenance. The drain opens out of the back of the unit.
- Lock: Both doors come with a lock and key. We don't use this function for security, rather we prefer the tighter seal that locking it gives. However, we have found that the lock for one of the doors gives a little trouble locking and unlocking.
- Temperature: it comes with an easy to read thermometer inside the freezer (the kind that has a red moving line and little tick marks). There is a dial that sets how cold you want the freezer to run at, but the dial is set to increments of 1, 2, 3... 6, rather than stating actual temperature increments (i.e. -10F, 0F, 10F) so it may be difficult to determine what setting to put it at if you are aiming for a particular temperature range.
